First, today’s pump is a Worthington D814 4x3x10.
This larger D814 configuration demonstrates the range of sizes available within the Worthington D800 Series. Furthermore, its frame mounted arrangement provides a traditional pump configuration that allows the pump and driver to be selected separately for the requirements of the installation.
As a result, the D814 remains a versatile Worthington pump design for facilities maintaining existing equipment or installing replacement pumps.
All Iron Fitted Construction
Next, this D814 features all iron fitted construction.
Material configuration is an important consideration when selecting a centrifugal pump. The all iron fitted option provides another available configuration within the Worthington D814 platform.
At the same time, customers retain the established design and serviceability of the D814. Therefore, individual components can be maintained or replaced as normal service requirements arise.
Frame-Mounted Worthington Pump Design
Unlike the motor mounted D824 pumps we have featured, the D814 uses a frame-mounted design.
The pump has its own bearing frame and shaft assembly rather than mounting directly to the motor. Consequently, the pump and motor remain separate components within the complete installation.
This configuration also allows customers to continue supporting existing D814 installations without changing to a different pump platform.
